Dr. Mo joined Hackensack Pediatrics in April 2004. After completing his Bachelor of Science
in microbiology at Haverford College (in Pennsylvania) he moved to Washington, D.C. where
he was awarded a 1 year research scholarship at the National Institutes of Health; considered America's most prestigious research institution. In addition to the research he spent much of his
time riding on ambulances as an EMT while volunteering for the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad. In 1996 he moved back to NJ where he started medical school at UMDNJ: New Jersey Medical School. After graduating in 2000 he moved to Manhattan where he completed his
pediatric residency at Cornell University Medical Center (New York Presbyterian Hospital).
Dr. Mo currently holds academic appointments as instructor for the New York Medical College, Bergen Academies, and Englewood Academies.

Married to the lovely Dr. Mahnaz Tantawi and very blessed to have two wonderful children
(twins) Jebriel & Jennah Sofiya. In addition to enjoying his family and wanting to “cherish every memory with them and make every moment count,” Dr. Mo has been singing at Carnegie Hall
with the New York Choral Society since 2000. As a child he played piano, violin, and trombone.
But he discovered his passion for singing by late high-school and hasn't stopped since. In addition
to singing regularly at Carnegie Hall, the group has had the privilege of singing with Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Placido Domingo, and many other world renowned artists. Touring engagements and special venues have included singing at the 2008 China Olympics, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, Lincoln Center, with the American Ballet Theater, and on the
Today Show. “I feel lucky and proud to be a part of something so amazing and enjoy finding the balance between trying to be the best physician I can be and appreciating my love for music on
the side.” Other hobbies include loving to cook and traveling.

“I find it the greatest honor and privilege to be a part of my patient's lives; to see them grow,
to become a part of their families, to laugh with them, and to support them through tough times.
I thank God for the humbling opportunity to heal them when sick, to relay medical knowledge with the hopes of enriching their lives, and to protect and comfort them when needed.” -Dr. Mo
