Mira Chalet, M.D.
Board Certified in PediatricsResidency: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (2017-2020)Medical School: St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies (2013-2017)
Dr. Mira Chalet has been a NJ resident since the age of 5, including her college years at Seton Hall University. When it came time to pursue her medical education, she traded the Garden State Parkway for sun and sand and attended St. George’s University in Grenada. Her roots ran deep though and she returned home to NJ for residency at NBI, an affiliate of Rutgers University School of Medicine. She has since become a board certified pediatrician with the help, love, and support of her husband, Jason. Since joining the Hackensack Pediatrics family in 2020, her own family has grown by one. Jason and Dr. Mira welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in the summer of 2021.
Her first hand experience as a mother, she feels, has made her an even better Pediatrician. Breastfeeding was the hardest thing she’s ever done and she now makes it her mission to help moms achieve their breastfeeding goals by sharing the tips and tricks she’s learned along the way. She’s so excited to watch your little ones grow.
